How to download Chase bank statements as CSV

Often, I'll download my bank statements as CSV files and import them into Google Sheets to analyze my monthly spending. Here's how you can do it too!

Step 1: Log in to Chase Online

  1. Go to chase.com
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Click on the "Sign In" button

Step 2: Select the account you want to download statements for

After you log in, you should see a list of accounts you have access to. Click on the account you want to download statements for. At this point, you should see this screen:

Click the download button (circled in red in the image above).

Step 3: Download the statements

Now you should be on the "Download account activity" page. Specify the account, the time frame of your transactions, and the file type (CSV is recommended), then click "Download".

Step 4: Open the CSV file in Google Sheets (optional)

If you want to open the CSV file in Google Sheets, go to sheets.google.com and create a new spreadsheet. Click "File" > "Import" > "Upload" and select the CSV file you downloaded in Step 3. Follow the instructions to import the data, and you're done!
